Comment : I relocated from NC to Washington State. On the surface this company seemed consumer oriented. They came and did the estimate and I chose them to make my move. When the packers showed up they had no wardrobe boxes for my clothes. When we called the response I got was well, you signed the estimate and should have seen this. Firstly I know as much moving lingo as they know medical lingo. I trusted them to be up front. Secondly when the gentleman came to do the estimate I showed him my clothes so he was quite aware. So my clothes were put in blankets and I was told as soon as they got to the warehouse they would be placed in wardrobe boxes. When I received them in WA they were dumped hangers and all into dish boxes and came out extremely wrinkled. Then I was told my belonging had to be shuttled, which meant put on one truck at my house, loaded onto the large semi at the warehouse, and then probably shuttled when I arrived. Needless to say I found out my belonging were shuffled around in the Midwest to another truck and nobody bothered telling me. Communication was lacking throughout. Moving is stressful and when you move long distance you plan on receiving your belongings in a relatively timely fashion. I waited and waited and and waited and did not hear from the moving company at all. So I called prior to Christmas to hear when my belongings might be arriving. The original time frame was 12.19.11 to 12.29.11 they were packed and removed on 12.12.11. I was told oh, it would not be before Christmas but sometime next week. Again, I never heard from them so I called the Tuesday after Christmas and was told it would not arrive until the last day 12.29.11. When asked what time, she told me that she had to call and find out. When she called me back she said between 8 to 10am, which I later found out was not true. She never called to find out. When the driver called the night before delivery he stated that he was 2 states away and would not even be able to be here until around 2pm. When he confronted her and asked why she gave that time frame she stated it was industry standard. So with the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE in this time of treating each customer respectfully I would say DO NOT use this company for moving. Let me say that I had no issues or problems with the packers, movers, or drivers. They were the best. My complaint is with the company who represents Bekins Moving.
