Comment : Traditional Express did a tremendous job on my interstate move from Maryland to Brooklyn, NY. When I originally spoke to Mitch in May he quoted me a price of $2500 to move all my belongings from my two bedroom condo, Traditional arrived on time in June and moved me last week--promptly and with 5 star service. I did not experience a single surcharge or up charge. I will definitely use their services again in the future. Thank you!!!

Comment : I have never moved long-distance. So, a lot of reviews gave mixed feelings about the whole thing. But as far as the experience, negative ones are just "those" type of people. Movers are people too, get a life! As far as my crew - especially attentive, very friendly and supportive with the whole thing. Packed up some fragile items that I had no wish or time to take care of on my way to new place in Dyker Heights. No smoking breaks or sitting around? Check. Spare boxes? Check. Getting the truck to the destination earlier than me? Somehow check. The price was higher than originally quoted, but I was prepared for some extra charges - doing my homework with the papers did the thing. Great experience overall! Would certainly use again. Comment : . Traditional Van Lines pulled it off without a hitch. It's always scary when you've got to get someone moved. I'm glad I went with this company, honestly, it came down to timeframe and budget. In this case, I had to get one of our field managers and our event exhibit moved from New Brunswick to Staten Island within a few days with absolutely no supervisor. I was solely depending on the companies expertise to be my eyes and ears for the project. 2. Rudy our field manager only met with the gentleman at 8:00am to open the door to the apartment he had to leave shortly thereafter. The crew moved a 10X20 booth along with other event elements and personal items. They moved an entire one bedroom apartment in under 8 hours without a scratch. That is what I call success. 3. James was our lead he locked up the apartment and arrived in Staten Island. I had the opportunity to speak with him briefly on the phone, they introduce their crew managers which is a very nice touch. James was readily available and gave me updates throughout the day - see the photos that he sent. 4. The gentlemen that quoted me was very personable and assured me that his three men crew would have all the boxes put away by end of day on Saturday and that's exactly how it went. 5. Lastly, 4 drayage boxes had to be sent to California and those arrived perfectly about a week later. I highly recommend this team. Thank you very much!

Comment : this company helped my mother move during a rough time. She was leaving a retirement home when her insurance failed to make payments. We needed to move her back to our home in the interim. Traditioanl expres was about 15 miles away and provided us with a really affordable solution to get her items moved down to Georiga. I am happy. Thank you!

Comment : A very professional company with a thorough approach. They scanned each single item using a bar-code system which I've never seen a moving company do despite moving many times in my life. Do not hesitate hiring them - if you make sure to note everything you're moving, they actually make the process easy and hassle-free.

Comment : I've multiple moved times in my life. This was a great move, everything could not have gone more smoothly. The movers arrived right on time and were incredibly nice and professional. Everything was done in exactly the given window, with the team communicating with me every step of the way. They also included storage that helped out with me and my family finding a place in San Diego. The customer service leading up to, during and following the move were also exceptional. Very communicative and supportive!

Comment : I originally hired Colonial Van Lines to move us from Massachusetts to Florida, however, without my knowledge, Colonial subbed the job out to Traditional Van Lines based out of NJ. We were told our furniture was going to be sent to a warehouse in Tampa and we were to call two days prior to when we wanted our home goods delivered to our new home. We called them on February 12th to inform them that we will be moving in on the 14th. When the furniture didn’t come, we resorted to using air mattresses. On the first night, my wife fell off the air mattress and broke her shoulder. I called Colonial to ask about my furniture and I told them of the accident with my wife, I didn’t receive any apologies, they seemed like they didn’t even care, and that I needed to call them back in 2 days and they would update me about the status of my furniture. At one point, they told me it was in Jacksonville in a warehouse and that they would get back to me. The next time I called, they told me it was still in NJ. My furniture finally arrived Feb 25th with $1200 damage to by Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and many items were broken, including some antiques I bought while I was in the UK. Also, many of my brand new toolsets were missing, I presumed stolen. Then, about 2 weeks after we received our stuff, a moving truck pulled up with more of our stuff that they claimed they found at the warehouse. Every time I called them, I got the old “you need to talk to so and so” run-a-round. I was told I could put a claim in, and they said it would settle between 90 and 100 days. I placed my claim for $3200 and they gave me a settlement of $450. They knew they had, because small claims court told me I had to file where the moving contract was signed, in Massachusetts. What a dysfunctional company, both companies. My advice to anybody, put your stuff in a POD, use your own lock, and your stuff will be safe.

Comment : I am having a very poor experience with Traditional Express. First, while selling me on thier services, the sales rep told me I could pay for the deposit, the payment due at pickup, and the final payment all with a credit card on file. I had a confusing conversation with the driver who picked up my boxes and he told me that wouldn't be the case and "maybe you heard incorrectly". I wasn't able to reach anyone that weekend and spent the next week trying to get in touch with my rep to clarify. When I final got him on the phone (begrudgingly), he told me again that final payment by credit card was fine but had 3-4% service charge. Then he gave me another number to call for any future questions - it was clear he had earned his commission off me and didn't care do deal with my file any more. I then contacted the customer service rep he told me to speak with. The service rep eventually (after several emails trying to clarify) told me that no, I couldn't use the credit card method for the final payment unless I had "pre-approval prior to pick up" and she did not see that approval in the notes. Then there is the issue of scheduling the delivery. I was told originally during the sales pitch the delivery would happen sometime between August 8-12. Then after being directed to the service rep I was told August 13-14th. When I reached out on the 12th to confirm I was told the delivery was now scheduled for the 17th. When no one showed up or called on the 17th, I reached out and was told it was coming on the afternoon of August 18th. Today is the 18th, my second day of setting aside other responsibilities to wait for delivery, and the movers haven't shown up or called. I can't get ahold of the service rep. All in all I have found the communication extremely lacking and feel I'm being lied to. I didn't mind waiting a little while for a delivery, but I was given specific, incorrect information as a sales tactic and had the delivery window changed 4 times.

Comment : This company sent ONE MOVER with a 50 foot truck. He damaged my sofa, and failed to bring all of my items. I called several different phone numbers for this company -- NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK. One salesman told me that the company is very shorthanded and that's why they only sent ONE mover -- DO NOT USE THEM.

Comment : Absolutely great! On time, on point, and no BS whatsoever. Took more time to load/unload than I expected to, but then again, more items to move. Loved the experience, but loving my new home, and I hope I won't be contacting any movers anytime soon :)

Comment : Total disaster. So much stress from this move! Hidden fees, communication is scarce, and tons of breakage. Super unprofessional movers on the delivery end...not even sure they were actually movers.
