Comment : Please see the attached pictures as words cannot explain how badly the ruined our stuff. $20,000 in damage, with no apology and no responsibility. We have had a nightmare experience with this company, top to bottom. The should be shut down. Please read on and spread the word. The morning of our move, Lippincott was supposed to arrive between 9 and 10. At 10 am I received a call saying they were not going to be able to move us that day! Ultimately, that afternoon, they were able to pull together what the manager called "the B team" and move some of our stuff out that day. They then showed up two days later, unannounced, to move the rest of the items. By the time they were finishing up on day two, I had this nagging feeling that these folks really were not very professional. I decided I had better purchase the additional insurance with a $250 deductible. Although guaranteeing me I was wasting my money and would not need it, their lead, Howie, marked the form for $250 deductible full replacement cost insurance and told me: sign here and initial here. I did. They stored our furniture for one month. When they delivered it to our new home, at least 70% of our furniture was ruined. Mattresses were dirty and had holes in them. Our six thousand dollar light yellow sectional couch was wet and had big black marks all over, every wooden bedframe was splintered and beat up. They literally broke a chunk out of a side table and glued it back together! Words cannot describe this damage. I will attempt to post pictures. The damage absolutely looks intentional. When I called to report the damage, they (a) did not apologize, (b) denied I had purchased insurance and (c) took no responsibility for anything. They demanded cash for services.

Comment : We moved from Connecticut to the Carolinas ( like the rest of the state is planning to do). These guys were amazing!! Quote was pretty accurate considering we had things in a different storage unit and our apartment, which made it difficult for them to see the entire amount of "stuff" we had. They started at the storage unit and then came to the apartment. Everything was meticulously covered and inventoried. Our driver, Bobby, was outstanding. Prompt and professional. He along with local movers from Savannah unloaded the truck with remarkable speed, despite the heat and humidity. We had to force them to stop and take water breaks. They placed boxes and furniture neatly in whatever room we asked, and set-up beds for us. On a whole, Lippincott made our move very stress- free. Definitely would recommend them to anyone.

Comment : I told them I would write a review if I like their service. They made their part best and so here I am. Actually two guys were involved in the move. They were very polite, respectful and professional and patient. What I liked is they did not waste their time in unwanted talks. They started their work once they reached my home. There are no words to explain their work. I would like to mention as ‹Åfirst class work. No one can compete with such sincere team. It was a perfect team work. They did everything they promised. Though they were young they were very mature in their job. Thank you for the perfect move. In my new apartment I was actually confused where to place my furniture. One of the movers afforded me an advice to place my furniture. He told me he had seen many types of apartments. Seriously he had a good decorative vision.

Comment : Used this company to move within state of CT. Moving crew took additional 4 hours to delivery furniture. Items were damaged. Crew complained of location and stairwell. Complaint process long and complicated requiring additional paperwork, time, and appraisals. Do Not Use this company to move a dog house.

In addition, they charged me over $800 more than the quote I was provided. DO NOT GET DUPED BY THIS COMPANY.

Comment : The mover damaged more than $16,000 of household goods, many pieces are new. The mover blamed me because: They say maybe the new furniture was damaged when I bought it, or their warehouse men damaged it, or I did not properly supervise the loading and packing and allowed their employees to improperly handle/pack my property. They did not pack/box several items that were then damaged. They lost parts to a 200 pound marble table and left it upside down in my dining room, said I should submit a written claim to reach resolution on what to do with table. Refused to move it to my storage room. Bill of lading notes indicated damage to every pice of my furniture when picked up, which is a lie. Many pieces were brand new. This is fraudenlaent business to try to protect them when claims are made. They lied to me about the existence of insurance covering me. Lippincott Moving Mgmt. totally non responsive. Complaint Detail Type Category Allegation Moving Company (Household Goods) Shipment Documents Moving company did not provide a written description of their complaint or inquiry process. Moving Company (Household Goods) Shipment Documents Moving company did not inform me of the availability of a neutral arbitration process. Moving Company (Household Goods) Loss and Damage There were significant loss and/or damage to the contents of the shipment. Moving Company (Household Goods) Loss and Damage Estimated amount of loss and damage: $ 16,000 Moving Company (Household Goods) Claim Settlement Moving Company did not offer me a claim settlement. Moving Company (Household Goods) Claim Settlement Moving Company is not responding to a filed complaint or an inquiry. Moving Company (Household Goods) Claim Settlement Moving Company refuses to participate in the arbitration process. Moving Company (Household Goods) Other Commercial Complaints The company attempted to coerce or did coerce me into loading/unloading the shipment They lied about the existence of insurance to cover me, then 3 weeks later reported it to they insurance company, awaiting settlement. I wrote to owner about 10 times, left many phone messages. The staff all work the same scheme to discredit the customer and try to avoid honoring a just claim for damages. They refuse to give names of employees who damaged my property or lied about the events. I would like to talk to the owner AND BBB should be aware. 18. Disputed Amount: $16,000.00

Comment : Was not impressed. we were forced to move because over the summer our apartment building caught on fire, caused by our neighbor. The insurance company wanted everyone out of the building so the landlord paid for our moving. Lippincott was okay. They damaged some furniture and a filing cabinet and put dents and scratches on the brand new painted walls. They placed a carpet on the floor so they would not truck mud into the living room but in the hallway there were some dirt stains. The thing that ticked me off the most was that one of their movers wreaked of marijuana and I noticed he was outside smoking a cigarette every half an hour. I know we technically did not have to pay Lippincott but still, we would have liked to have had a professional company who comes to get the job done and not stand around on cigarette breaks all the time.

Comment : My experience with Lippincott Movers in North Haven has been a fabulous one, read mixed reviews and then took the recommendation from a client that she was very pleased. Anyone who knows me or my husband know that we are very particular people, we both were extremely happy with the crew they sent, worked hard without stopping, professional, polite and most importantly careful with my furniture. We are in a temporary rental till our new house is built, we plan on using them again and want the same crew
