Comment : UPDATE June 2019: Great Nation offered me $300 of "hush money" to take down this review. Do not do business with these liars. Employees lied to me to avoid accountability. After a horrific moving experience (movers held my items hostage while demanding more money, among other things that could fill a page), Great Nation promised me a full refund. I was promised this refund for months. Eventually, the company stopped responding to me. Avoid this company to avoid lies, manipulation, and potential litigation to recover your damages. The moving experience was bad enough, but to have seemingly understanding and friendly Great Nation employees lie about it for months and months was the most disturbing customer-service experience of my life.

Comment : Where do I even begin? They were more than a full day late for pick-up. Delivery was supposed to be on Sunday or Monday but came Wednesday. They nearly doubled the amount after they had my stuff not because it weighed more (which is understandable) but because they had told me things like bubble wrap, packing tape, etc were "included" and they aren't. In addition, they put $30 or so worth of wrapping around EVERYTHING that could be construed as furniture, including an office chair that was ripped up and only worth about $15. They also took my floor lamp and put it in a box that I had to pay for. They had told me my 45 records

Comment : I really liked the guys who moved my stuff. The guys were great, and they offered efficient service. The movers were really polite and very helpful. I personally feel that the entire move was done within the given time frame, and it was reasonable. I was totally satisfied with these movers and would like to extend my gratitude for their services.

Comment : After many years in the Army it was time for me to retire and heads up to FL. For all my previous move the army paid for it and I had mixed experiences, good one and moves that went not so well. After reading many good reviews and having my new neighbors highly recommending Great Nation van Lines(They moved from Alabama to VA) I hired them. The estimated cost for moving 4 Bedroom house with packing was Guaranteed And not exceed. 4 Spanish speaking guys came and pack my entire house in 12 straight hours. Next day 2 large vans I think they were 26 feet long showed up and the movers loaded everything on it, I wanted fast delivery and the moment they finish loading they left to FL. After the delivery was done moving over a 23 000 lbs I had one small cheap piece of furniture damaged worth $10(you can not expect more from Ikea) Over all Martir,David,Daniel and the rest of the movers did a Fantastic job, I would not have post this review if my move was nothing but flawless. I don't think i will be hiring another mover in my lifetime but anyone looking for long Distance movers from Washington DC and should give them a call

Comment : It was a very good experience. They basically followed me through every step of it and my move didn't go perfectly but they handled all the issues that came up. I had everything delivered was put in that truck and nothing was broken. So I was happy. Yes I did receive all the services that I have requested. I did my own packing but the blanket wrapping was good. Everything was fine. The crew was very good. For future customers I can say they are good choice. They worth the money. So ensured that everything gets safely. You are not in the dark

Comment : Great Nation Van Lines came highly recommended by multiple people, so decided to give them a go.Not only did they accommodate me on less-than-optimal notice, they were helpful, resourceful, and extremely efficient during the move. Only positive things to say would definitely use them again and recommend to others. I wish more moving companies ran like you guys run .

Comment : My entire experience in the past with movers was horrible, they always came late, charge me more for the job and many other issues, this time I did a very good research on line read many reviews and even found friends as referrals, I selected Great nation Van lines based on all this information and this time my move was smooth, stress free and i ended up paying exactly what my estimate was for. Moving is stressful enough on its on so you need a reliable company like Great nation to reduce that to a minimum

Comment : Great Nation was refereed to me by colleague in my firm and I hire them for move from Washington DC to Brooklyn NY? I have moved few times in the past and Great Nation Van Lines is one of the best I have used so far the few benefits I got from them(and i could not get from other companies) are: fast delivery in just 2 days without paying extra for it, designated moving truck small fee of $350, same moving crew in DC and NY. Over all I am extremely happy with the service and will recommend to friends and family.

Comment : I just moved from a studio in Maryland to a studio in Virginia. I was pleased with the service. David was very cool. The guys stayed on task, and gave me suggestions on my room layout. Most importantly, they were done in 3 hours. They were about 15 minutes late, but they called to let me know. As far as I can tell my furniture is in good shape. I saw a few stray marks, but nothing major. I have used two other moving companies in the past, and this was my best experience to date.
