Comment : I never post on line but wanted to post for AMERICAN VAN LINES EAST. I know moving industry is tough sometimes but this was an awesome move. On pick up day the move went smooth. On delivery day i was so excited. They actually delivered to me in 4 days to Michigan. I got the key that day and they were there a few hours later. It was awesome seeing the truck pull up. Thanks again and i will use you guys for my sisters move. Take care and thanks again.

Comment : Worthless company. They cancelled our move the morning of the day we we are scheduled to move!! We had less than 48 hours to scramble a move together before our lease ended. Unprofessional to the core. the customer service was also horrible. "dispatch is in a meeting" "my supervisor is in a meeting your driver had a medical emergency" - all doubtful. We were promised a call back from 8 separate employees on 8 separate occasions without ever receiving a call back. This company is garbage. Stay away.

Comment : WORST MOVING COMPANY These people charged me 3 the original estimate, took double the time to deliver my items from Florida to Boston, MA, broke a sentimental piece of furniture, and lost my entire closet my estimate they cost me at least 15k.

Comment : This was a shakedown from the start. They saw an opportunity to exploit a senior citizen and took full advantage of it. If you do an internet search on this company, you ll find repeated complaints similar to mine. Please heed my warning and steer clear of American Van Lines East at all costs! I contracted American Van Lines East, Inc. out of Tampa, Florida to move all my household belongings to a storage unit 15 minutes from my house. A representative of the company came by my house and gave me an estimate of $315, which he said included the limited remaining wrapping required on my items. He said it was easy in and out in a couple hours. I signed the estimate agreement and provided a deposit to confirm the move. On the day of the move, two men arrived and told me the move would now cost me $700 because it will take 6 hours. They said I had to pay extra for bubble wrap and their time to wrap, which is counter to what the original estimator had indicated. When I called the company s of
