Comment : These guys were very good and I had a great moving experience a week ago. I had to use them when we were relocating and they never caused me any trouble. They were very honest and transparent with their policies. The crew was excellent and helped us really well. The crew was well mannered and quick at their work. They maintain punctuality. The whole experience was the best that I’ve ever had with movers. It was very smooth. Transportation was done instantly and the cargo arrived right on time. I was so glad that I went for them and not for the movers I usually go for. Those guys are a rip off!

Comment : WORST!!!!!!....Worst company I ever had to deal with..pick up date( June 26) everything was OK I had everything packed and in the garage for them to just load! But after loading all my belongings they hit me with 1000 dollars more refusing to unload my items so I was forced to pay more and THEY demanded 50 dollar tip each (3 man crew).....I was told in two weeks you'll get your stuff from June 26 but didn't get my stuff till august 29. 2 months later...Every time I would call I get a "let me look up our file call u right back" and they never did. The dispatch girl is a lier and both managers are too......and I'm STILL MISSING ITEM PLUS ALL MY MATRESS CAme COVERED WITH MOLD....N THEY DONT HAVE A CLAIMS DEPARTMENT....... SO I AM LOOKING FOR LEGAL HELP AT THIS POINT....CAUSE SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR HURTS!

Comment : Read the reviews here and on other sites for a clear picture. Rates doubled on moving day, from 2650 to 5300. According to the Driver, the bulky items weren't on the estimate and take up twice as much space. Interestingly enough, they are right there in black and white on the contract, but still they double the price. I'm stuck because my lease is up. Was told by the driver it would take about 3 -4 days to deliver, 13 days later they showed up. Nobody would answer calls or return messages in the meantime. There are too many damaged items to list: broken furniture, dented bikes, walls damaged, lawn damaged, furniture put together without actually attaching anything. Unreal. And of course, nobody answers the calls to file a claim either. Stay far away!

Comment : The men doing the moving were amazing! Efficient, fast and professional. I only give 3 stars because our quote did not include everything. We were charged $1000 extra for supplies (tape, boxes, bubble wrap) and our quote did not include the second half of our move(from storage to new house). We would not have chosen a company so far away as travel time is an added expense.

Comment : Really I was not sure about any moving company after hearing about some insane stories. Frankly speaking I was not sure I wanted to move with any company. I decided to just give it a shot and do some research. Every company that was reasonably priced had some bad reviews which is normal I guess, not everyone is a happy camper when they are moving. I chose Oscar moving because they seemed very professional right away. The staff was always available to help even after they scheduled me in. I would come across reviews of companies where the customer would barely hear from the company after they scheduled them in. This was not the case with oscar, they were contacting me every few days about videos and packing tutorials. They really did care about my stuff. The move went down flawlessly, aside from the driver arriving a few hours early (really not a big deal). The price was right the crew was friendly and professional and the move was just what I wanted. I dont see how some of the reviewers on here found to have such a bad experience. Perhaps they were one of the unlucky.

Comment : After taking $400 from my credit card for deposit (originally was suppose to have taken $240 but accidentally took $400 apparently) they confirmed they would be picking my stuff up on June 17th as planned. I emailed on the 16th to request an estimate of the time they would arrive but no reply. Then on the morning of the 17th i emailed again but still no reply. i called the number which i had called before but it was temporarily out of service so i found a new number and got through but was placed on hold for 15 mins. i hung up and called again this time getting through to "Nate". He said he heard them talking about my job that morning and i should be getting picked up soon and that he was going to get the driver to call me. Obviously that call never came. I called back 90 mins later and this time spoke to David as Alex the person i was originally dealing with was on a call apparently, wonder was it the same call from earlier and maybe why he couldn't answer my emails and Nate was conveniently as lunch. I was assured that the previous job just took longer that expected and i would definitely be picked up soon. so at 445pm i sent an email to Alex saying i was sick of their BS and if i was contacted in the next 15 mins tell the driver not to bother coming as i would turn him away. I also called and tried 5 different extension numbers to which i could get no answer on any. I have called my credit card company to get my money back and would just like to make sure nobody uses this company to move their belongings in the future so they don't have to go through what i had to. This company should be put out of business and i will try my best to make that happen.

Comment : Do NOT hire this moving company! I was given one quote on the phone by Xavier. When the movers cam to pick up my boxes I was told it was going to be $300 more and then asked for a cash tip to ensure that the new quote was the final price. The boxes were to be moved cross country and a "deliver no sooner than" date was on the contract. A few days later I spoke to the company and was told that the boxes were going to be delivered that week-4 days early. I had to make arrangements for the driver to drop them off at a local storage facility and then arrange to have them moved to my house when I got there. The local moving facility said the driver was in a "real hurray" and just threw the boxes off and got back in his truck as he had to get out with another delivery to CA. There were boxes that didn't belong to me left and one of my boxes is still missing. Oscar Moving gave me a total run around for locating the missing box-finally after 3 weeks of trying to follow up I was told very rudely to take it up with their claims sept-then hung up on. Naturally the form the driver gave me did NOT have an itemized list nor a value of items-so now this will be another battle. This is the WORST service I have ever seen. I am reporting this company to the BBB and Protect Your Move. DO NOT HIRE OSCAR MOVING

Comment : Beware of Oscar Moving of Jersey City. Our recent move from Boston to New York was a disaster, and felt like we were the victims of a “bait and switch.” Oscar’s online “binding estimate” for the move was $1051 after we sent a description of the small apartment’s contents and agreed we would box everything but the furniture ourselves. Our final cost was > 3 times the estimate, at $3226.75 and the way it unfolded was equally outrageous. Only after our possessions were in their truck did they disclose the actual charges they demanded, and create a new dilemma: they demanded cash. The driver: “We’re not a bank,” when we tried to use a credit card. We had paid the deposit with a card, and expected to continue that way. Turns out the cash requirement was deep in the fine print of the estimate, after a deceptive agreement for a credit card deposit. Oscar M. did not call this to our attention until they had our stuff. Yes, it was Our Bad, not reading carefully to the end. We were in a hurry, of course, and they had our belongings, so we found a way to get the cash. We had booked 4 months in advance, but got a call 2 days before the scheduled move saying they were going to pick up our belongings that night . We were able to delay them until the next day and crammed to get things ready a day early. They promised to deliver the following day. We waited 3 days before they arrived. There was no unloading the truck until we paid an extra $150 for stairway climbing. This extra was probably reasonable, but it was not spelled out in advance. Another trip to the ATM. During our long wait for delivery and unhappiness with the huge jump in price, we called our agent Alex (855-571-4150) at Oscar Moving for updates on delivery and clarification of the price discrepancy. He took one call, promised to look into the matter, and did not call back. We have records of 14 subsequent calls to the office which went to voice mail or were taken by another employee, and never got a return call or any useful information. After the delivery and the hasty sign-off and departure of the movers, we discovered some damage to our furniture. They had our cash money. They did not return phone calls. We had no recourse. Would you want to use this mover?

Comment : Extremely happy with my move, the movers were wonderful. They were on time quick, efficient, and courteous. This is the second time using Oscar’s Moving Company in the past seven years and they are amazing. The first time was moving a parent out of their home into assisted living. The experience was so great that I turned to them again for my move from one building in the apartment complex to another. Even though the move was approx. 350 ft, they were careful my belongings especially with removing my 65 “TV from the wall and taking apart and re-assembling my adjustable bed. In addition to being skilled at their work, they had good humor and a cheerful outlook throughout. Moving can be hard, but I was never stressed with this team! Their estimate was right on point and there were no hidden costs. I highly recommend Oscars Moving Company for your move.

Comment : Worst experience ever! Salesman Mike called with a quote for a small move from Md to Missouri. Quoted $1,071 for initial estimate without full list. Called a few hours later with another price apologizing saying forgot about minimum charge so just under $1,500. Daughter called with full list and manager Joe added a few dollars and said MAX to cover anything that may be missed $1701. But should be less. Scheduled delivery window of Wed. between 1-6. About 1:10 driver calls to schedule delivery for Thursday. I told him no, must be Wednesday as she was leaving at 3am Thurs. morning to Missouri and would not wait. Driver calls back and rescheduled for 7-8pm. Finishes loading truck and states bill is $2800! Immediately called Mike and he was no help. Saying he couldn't do anything see if driver will take anything off. Mike proceeds to tell me how the company is not as good as he thought and was thinking about leaving them.... Driver took it down to $1901. We paid it to get him gone so we could be done. Called his manager in the morning and got the same run around...in fact said the same thing about the company word for word. I asked if they were reading from the same book! He even had the nerve to ask me who gave me HIS number! I was just livid! He gave us the number when he quoted a time for delivery and took the itemized list because Mike was Out in the field. It was the POOREST customer service I have ever received and I will NEVER call this company again! I asked for a refund for the difference and Joe said they will not ever issue any refund. So basically they do not stand behind their word for estimate. So I asked could he at least be sure it is delivered to her on time before she starts work in a week and he said he didn't think he could promise that. The whole thing is ridiculous! Mike sold me on the company and then neither him or his manager would stand by anything. I feel as though I was robbed. Do yourself a favor, get an itemized estimate from anyone you call, but call someone else! BTW I was surprised to know they did deliver to her before she started work and I have yet to hear back from anyone in the company...nor do I care to.
