Comment : I hate moving. I absolutely hate it. Theres nothing more paralyzing to me than the thought of packing up everything and carrying it down my narrow stairs and then carrying it back up another set of narrow stairs at the new place. Luckily for me, K-D Moving had come recommended by a family member and I was willing to give them a try. Was I lucky I did! The billable time started right when the truck leaves the warehouse, located right by Village Gate. I was not moving too far away so the entire trip took about two hours. I did not even fill up the entire truck, so the unloading process was even shorter. For my time, I got two punctual movers, a whole truck to myself, and two of the most professional people I have ever worked with. When we saw that they had tracked in some grass and mud, the movers swept it right up and kept going. I am hoping I am done moving for awhile, but when the time comes I will definitely be using K-D again. Their courteous service broke me out of my moving-induced trance and now I am settled into my new place much sooner than I thought I had be.

Comment : K-D was recommended to me by friends, and I could not have been happier with them. The two movers arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and not one piece of furniture was damaged. On the day I moved, it also happened to be raining (sometimes torrentially), and they were careful to cover everything with blankets as they carried them outside and loaded them into the truck. There was absolutely no water damage to anything -- the only damp item was my mattress, which probably absorbed the humidity from the air. They did an amazing job, and made a stressful day that much better. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Comment : Terrible experience. Avoid this company if at all possible. Movers were incapable of scheduling a set time to drop off delivery. When they finally did arrive, they began immediately to assess previously unexplained fees. Pushing trolley more than 75 ft from the truck. Climbing more than three steps. Waiting ten minutes. In total they charged me 150 more than my previously negotiated estimate. I doubt this was a fluke, as the movers seemed well rehearsed in demanding exorbitant fees and using your possessions as hostage. Save yourself the trouble of being victimized by another scummy moving company and look elsewhere.
