Comment : Do not use Chris of Jersey Movers, cell phone number: 201-892-2556. He unprofessional and vile. Recently, I moved out of Newark and had contracted with Chris for manual labor for the move. He said he had provide three men for a certain amount he provided only two men - and those men seemed to have one speed: slow as cold molasses. They also (1) showed up late without calling and (2) did not listen to me when I would say: "That goes in the trash" That goes to the trailer". Because they were late, I hired two guys off the street who moved fast and were quick about getting my stuff out of the apartment. Those two guys were worth far more than Chris guys. When the job was almost done, Chris guys started demanding payment, even as I was trying to get them to take the last remaining items down to the trailer. Instead of taking the items, Chris guys apparently called Chris to tell him I was not paying.

Comment : Terrible experience. First they were 1.5hr late without a call, then I was originally quoted at 480 then the movers took 3.5 hours to make a 30min trip to the destination and tried to charge me for it. I argued with the "boss" for over an hour on the phone while my possessions were held for ransom while he tried to charge me over 1000... I talked him down to 850 to leave my possessions downstairs and I had to make other arrangements. In addition, eventhough they used furniture blankets, some of my furniture was scratched. DO NOT USE, THEY ARE SCAMMERS! You have been warned, go with a reputable company you are not going to save with these scammers.
