A lot has changed since we showed up on the scene in 1978 and were awarded Floridas 23rd moving license in the history of the state. Jimmy Carter was the President. Rents were $600 for two bedrooms and Co-op was just becoming a fashionable word. People needed to be moved, so we obliged. 30 years later, our region has gotten bigger and better and Discount Movers has grown along with it. In spite of all that change, weve always been big believers in our core values that have sustained us throughout; that old-fashioned elbow grease and accommodating service combined with the right proprietary technology could allow us to deliver quality moving services faster, more efficiently and at unbeatable prices. Comment : These young kids showed up 2 hours late, then took them another 30 minutes to get started. I requested 4 guys, they sent 3. I caught 1 of the guys out front of my building talking on his cell phone while I am paying him to wrap and move my furniture. They damaged an expensive credenza because they did not wrap it properly and were basically not careful. They argued with me about moving a $17,000 sofa, they wanted to shove it in an elevator that was too small. Anyone with an ounce of common sense could tell it would not fit. It is been 3 month since my move and they still have not returned my phone calls about being compensated for the damaged they did to my credenza. I would NOT recommend this company
