Rudds Transfer and Storage, Inc. was founded February 1, 1921 in Long Beach, California, doing business as a local moving and storage company. In 1961, Rudds Transfer and Storage, Inc. was incorporated and purchased another company, Columbia Van Lines, Inc. of California (U.S. DOT No. 495585) - not affiliated with Atlas Van Lines, Inc. This purchase has allowed Rudds to offer all hauling services, except hazardous materials, to the general public. As the demands of our customer base has grown over the years, we have tried to stay one step ahead. We became affiliated with Atlas Van Lines, Inc. (U.S. DOT No. 125550), Evansville, Indiana, in May of 1975. This action expanded our transportation service to become a worldwide organization.
