Edward Smith, a college bound 19 year old, saw an opportunity to join and improve the moving industry. The stigma surrounding moving companies is one of carelessness and recklessness. Knowing this, Smith formed a company that revolved around professionalism and customer service, ensuring his customers that their moves would be as stress-free and efficient as possible. What started with one entrepreneur and a rental truck in his parents mudroom in Merrimack, N.H. has grown exponentially each year. Headquartered in Amherst, N.H., the business has branched out to Pembroke, Billerica, Mass. and Ormond Beach, Fla. Instead of the one rental truck, CBM now owns a fleet of 15 trucks, and has grown from one employee to nearly 100.

Comment : I have never actually written a Yelp review but feel compelled to do so after this experience. I will start by saying, the movers themselves are outstanding. If I was reviewing them alone, I would give them 5 stars. However, if I had to solely review the company and their unethical sales tactics, I would give zero stars if that was an option. So, because of your amazing staff alone, I am giving you three stars. If you are planning to hire this company know that they will change your estimate two days before they are to move you and not in your favor. We changed nothing. Added nothing. In fact, my husband chose to move things himself and we were still up charged $600 and nobody can explain why. It is a bait and switch since we could not possibly find another mover in two days during the busiest closing weekend. Due to the efficiency and hard work of their dedicated staff, we ended up paying a bit less but I still feel like we were taken advantage of. I am sure they have done this to others with no remorse so watch out. I will end this on a positive note. Their crews are wonderful, respectful, and hardworking. I wish the company took a page out of their employee handbook and acted the same way.

Comment : I used College Bound Movers for a friend who needed to bring his bed downstairs to what use to be his parents room and their beds upstairs. They also brought down an air conditioner. The young men were friendly and did the job very quickly. I would use them again. Never new that they rearranged furniture in your house. They did a very good job.
