Subject :Terrible claims process

Comment : We contracted with Beltmann as they were associated with North American Van Lines and we were careful to work with a reputable company. We hired them to pick up and store our goods for several months in their NJ warehouse and deliver once we settled on a home in MA. They delivered goods last week with several of our antiques broken which I will be completing claims. The major issue was that while we were sold a moving package that included storage in their warehouse and monthly storage in that same warehouse the movers who made both the pickup and delivery let us know that the goods never left the trailer. They simply stored it that way on their lot. This is not what was sold or contracted. Their offer was to credit about 500 to cover what was quoted to move in and out of storage. I never would have contracted with a company to store our good in a trailer parked in a lot for months. The sales person sold a package that included the goods being offloaded and stored in their warehouse and later reloaded on a truck for delivery. Of course Mark has been MIA since this occurred. No return call no return email. The move also was not without issues. Beltmann was aware Over a month before the delivery that a shuttle wLuke be required for delivery. The day prior to delivery I was informed they were having an issue renting one. They did get one but it was late which caused delivery to continue through the dark which was difficult. It also caused our ladder to be left on the truck. I discovered this after searching for a week and requesting they check with the delivery team. That was finally delivered today. To add to the situation, I contacted N.A Van Lines and their follow up has been terrible. Steer clear of this group if you care about your goods being handled properly.
