Comment : My assistant had hired Silverback Moving to move our office from Birmingham to Southfield. We are a practice of dermatologists with several pieces of fragile equipment. The commercial moving crew did an excellent job preparing and faciliting our move. We had a great experience with this local company and will hire again!

Comment : I used them recently for a move and they did a great job wrapping everything. They had the best quote of all the "official legit" large moving companies. That is why I chose to go with them. Many moving companies contract out their services, this particular truck and crew that were assigned to my move were owned and managed by Silverback Moving's management. Nothing is damaged and the move went well.

Comment : If you need moving services do yourself a favor and book with Silverback Moves. The two movers were so friendly, fast, and careful with my belonging. Both the place I was moving out of and into had stairs and they still did a great job. The woman who does all of the booking and communication is also very nice, they went out of there way to make sure I was satisfied. I would definitely use their services again.

Comment : Siverback movers were so obviously inexperienced, and so clueless about how to move furniture, it was frightening. I should have asked them to leave when I heard things falling over in the truck. They left my furniture deeply gouged, ripped, dented and broken, and the walls marked and dented. DOORWAYS seemed to pose a real puzzle to them. The one piece of furniture I DISTINCTLY told them not to tilt onto its legs or drag, was tilted when moving it into the truck, and they dragged it over my new carpeting in the new house. The result? The leg and side of the armoire was split and broken. Other pieces were horribly gouged, or dented by tight straps. Silverback movers did $1135.00 worth of damage to my furniture, (or $5500 replacement) and refused to even pay the less than $500 damages owed per THEIR contract. At one point their 'furniture expert', (surprise: owner Cameron Schea's DAD) said if they paid me for repairs, I'd have to give them the furniture. (??) I gave them the $1135 quo

Comment : My wife and I hired this company to move our three bedroom home from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan to Rochester, New York. We had hired the firm after my wife's coworker had used the company for a similar move. She was pleased, so we thought this would be the best way to simplify the hectic moving process. We called the scheduling department and spoke with Jim. He was very thorough in the questions he asked regarding the items we had. This let me know that he knew what he was doing. It seemed as tho other van lines we had spoke to were just saying whatever to get us to schedule with them. Jim gave us a great deal of moving tips as well as information on proper preparation for days leading up to the move. This information was extremely helpful. On the day prior to the move, Jim called once again to be certain that we were ready to go and properly prepared. Comment : We chose these guys to move (June 2011) from Texas to Michigan. The company representative who gave us a quote (Wayne) was very professional and helpful. The packers came fully prepared and they were very polite. They handled and packed all our things with care. The movers were also great. They came to our house on time and we didn't have any issues with them. The driver even told us the exact date as to when we can expect our things to arrive in Michigan. I would suggest to be nice to the movers (offer them water =)) because they will be nice to you and your things. Make sure to check everything when they load your things, so they won't leave any of your stuff behind since the truck is so enormous and your things are not the only ones there. Overall, the move was smooth sailing. We didn't incur any extra charges after the binding quote was made. No damages on our things after the move. Comment : Silverback Moving relocated my apartment in Rochester to my house in Rochester Hills. I called the company after seeing one of their trucks in my neighborhood. The scheduling department was very friendly, and gave some useful tips for the big day. I then received a phone call from the scheduler two days prior to confirm that we were ready for their moving service. The day of, the crew called us prior to arriving to let us know they would be right on time. As soon as the truck and crew came to our front door they began working immediately. Did not stop until we were in our new home and the job was done. I will deffinitly be using this company again when I move next year. Very pleased! I would recommend the service to anyone moving in Southeast Michigan.

Comment : We had a great experience with this company. Given our very tight timeline and little notice to tell them when the move would happen we would likely give them a 6th star if that were possible. Our bank couldn't get it's act together, but the ladies in the office worked around it. The 5 guys who did the actual move were great-- so efficient but so attentive (they noted which nightstand went on which side of our bed and reset our living room in the new house to match the old house exactly!!! We would hire that group again in a heartbeat. Are they the cheapest? No. They are a full service company and so charge full-service prices. But in the tier of companies like them they were competitive, and, more importantly, they stuck to their cost estimate except when we added services. But if your point of reference is "one big guy and one big truck" then you should keep looking. Comment : Silverback Moving Company is appalling and despicable. Their business practices are unprofessional and cowardly. The movers arrived over one hour late, and were clearly inexperienced. The dropped our boxes, damaged our mattress, and broke our dishes. The owner took no responsibility for this, nor did he hold his movers accountable for their negligence. The owner, Cameron, is completely unprofessional and ignores phone calls and emails to avoid conflict. The staff at Silverback Moving gives conflicting and misleading info regarding their business practices and policies. This company shouldn't even be in business. Stay far away from this company!

Comment : My name is Mercedes and I used this terrible moving company in May to move me from Canton, MI to Romolus, MI. 6The staff seemed nice and friendly on the phone but was not that way in reality. The day of the move I hadn't heard from the moving company and they were 20 minutes late. I gave them a call and someone told me that my truck would be arriving within the next 15 minutes then hung up. 30 minutes later still no truck so I called back and with an attitude the receptionist said just give them some time they will get there. So finally tyhe movers arrive but 2 hours late. I asked what happened they said someone from the office should have already spoken with me and they were ready to start my move. Once the movers started moving my items on the truck they were moving slow as if they didn,t want to be at work. I asked if they could speed up because they were late and I had other plans for the day. The with movers with an attitude asked me if I would be tipping them if they speed up. ARE YOU SERIOUS TIP YOU TO ACTUALLY DO YOUR JOB?? I call the owner he is the most disrespectful person I have spoken with in life. He told me his movers deserve a tip late or not. I thought tips were given at the end of the job. Finally right at the end of my move they told me my bill would be $1700. SERIOUSLY I WAS OUTRAGED I WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE OF $700 - $800 SO HOW WAS ESTIMATE $1000 OFF. I was told if I did not pay they would not remove my furniture from the truck. I agreedm to pay but I ha

Comment : Cameron Schea is a fraud! The workers are in a warehouse that is filled with asbestos, black mold, and hydraulic fluid contamination. There is a meth lab in one of the rooms! He is pilled out and will ignore you if any problems arise. BOYCOTT SILVERBACK FOR HAZARDOUS WORKING CONDITIONS!

Comment : I hired this company for a very short local move and they damaged almost every piece of furniture I own. The owner never offered an apology and refused to resolve the issue. Pay the extra money and hire a reputable moving company or you will be sorry.

Comment : Worst experience ever So we hired Silverback movers 2 months ago to assist us with loading our heavy items into the uhaul. Two guys showed up 30 minutes late, but ok. Then they saw the treadmill, stated they were not sure if they could get it down the stairs. They went outside to get some tools and got in their truck and split Left without a word. We had other items that could have been moved as well and needed the help. So heavy as that treadmill was, two 54 year old women and one guy got it down a total of 19 steps and into that 26 truck. Comment : Hired Silverback to move our three bedroom family home from Auburn Hills to Clarkston. We had found the company after searching online rather extensively for a reputable mover. We decided to use Silverback. The service from the office was a great and the crewmen were skilled. Not moving again anytime soon, but next time I will be calling these guys for help!
