Comment : We were first impressed by how quickly and expertly our stuff was picked up for a move from NYC to the Midwest. The movers were absolute machines. It was a big job though and there were some hiccups. Imperial really earned 5 stars with the customer service to address a couple issues. I would not expect a move half way across the country to go 100% perfect and Imperial was quick and fair in bringing these topics to resolution. I had definitely move with Imperial again, especially in consideration of moving horror stories I have heard about other companies. Imperial has proven to be a fair and honest mover.

Comment : We recently used Imperial Moving for our move from the UES to Weehawken, NJ. I was extremely disappointed with our experience. While they ultimately completed the job and moved our furniture and contents, it was definitely not done without damage and headaches. Knowing that their initial quote over the phone would be a low-ball offer, we requested an on-site visit to get a more accurate quote. After a representative visited us, we were given a more realistic quote that we were satisfied with. However, come moving day, it seemed our sales agent Anthony, did not communicate half of what the representative saw at our on-site visit. The movers didn't even know we had stairs at our new location even though I repeatedly told the sales agent we did. Throughout the move they said they would have to charge us additional for this and for that which ultimately was going to add hundreds of dollars to our initial quote. After some debate we settled on an increase of $150 over our initial quote. This was done mostly because we felt bad that the actual movers (who are doing the back-breaking work) weren't notified about certain characteristics of our new property. Now I don't know if this is standard moving practice, but we had five movers taking furniture/contents out of the old apartment and only three on the other side for the move in. Maybe this is a tactic to increase the overall time it takes to complete the move therefore giving them a reason to charge us more? However, what I was most disappointed with was the un-repairable damage done to a piece of our furniture. This was a dresser that was in the family for years and the huge chunks of wood that were chipped off will never allow it to be restored to its initial condition. Their insurance policy is the standard commercial "$.30/lb” so even if we said the dresser weighs 200 lbs, the most we would receive would be $60. Comment : I have had wonderful experiences with at least 4 moves with Imperial Movers, up until our office move this week. Our furniture is trashed. Nothing was protected properly. I was contacted as a courtesy for feedback, and passed on my disapproval. Sent an email as instructed with images, did not hear a WORD in days until I called to follow up. Appalled and upset that now our office furniture looks like garbage. They offered $100 back for our $2k+ move for the "inconvenience". Additionally, we had hired Imperial Movers for another job this week to ship goods from NYC to Miami, for which we were quoted $2000. When the goods arrived, the price had changed mid-shipment - they held the items hostage and demanded we pay....$16K!!

Comment : I was quoted one flat rate to move light furniture, clothes and kitchenware. They were supposed to pack and move the items to my storage. They arrived 4 hours late, brought no boxes and started moving at the speed of light. Needless to say, I had to pack myself on a fly. I was asked for $600 additional cost for no apparent reason. Horrible experience, high stress and lost lots of important things. Sent a message to the suave Mario, the one who quoted the move and sent the contract. did not receive any reply. It is my opinion that this company has no client satisfactions in mind.

Comment : The guys who did the moving did a really good job, they were on time, courteous and seemed to really care but that is where the good ends. I was told my stuff would be delivered in 4 14 days but they do not count business days, I find this odd since they work on weekends but I will accept that. Well we are now on day 24 or 18 if you take away the week ends and I still do not have my stuff, I have no idea when I will get my stuff and whats even worse is I cannot get an answer from anyone at Imperial as no one returns our calls. To say I am disappointed would be putting it mildly.

Comment : We moved during the height of the pandemic from Queens to Rochester, NY. A 3 team crew helped us make the transition so much easier! They called ahead and walked me verbally through the process. I was extremely overwhelmed. My stepfather was given 6 months to live and I could NOT gather my things fast enough. The team of three really treated my husband and I with such professional care and my belongings as if they were museum pieces. I highly recommend this company. They were fast, diligent and made sure we left nothing behind, which in my state I surely would have. Even on arriving to the small town we moved to, they were courteous to our new neighbors.
